The Landlord Buy to Let Show was held at the NEC Birmingham on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October.

Inventory Portal Ltd staff attended the show and distributed hundreds of leaflets promoting and advertising the services available through Inventory-Portal Ltd and from our Licensed Inventory Scheme Members.

By Monday morning the email responses had already started and interested Clients were asking for quotations for the supply of inventories from the Inventory Portal’s business exchange and panel management service. These contracts will lead to more direct business for our own network of trained and security checked Licensed Inventory Scheme Members.

The National Landlords Association and ARLA both gave some excellent seminars on various legal and regulatory issues affecting the private rented sector, which highlighted the need for an Accredited and Licensed supply chain throughout the private rented sector.

Landlords and Letting Agents are facing Regulation and Licensing now, and it is no wonder they are turning to accredited and licensed inventory clerks to fulfil their outsourcing requirements for these reports and services.

The mood was very positive among the letting agents present, believing that the rented sector will grow further in 2010 as a flood of investment properties are sold off from the many repossessions held in the backlog of disposals at the end of 2009, providing even larger portfolios for professional investors and yet more work for letting agents and inventory clerks moving forward.

As these agents get busier, they are more likely to turn to outsourced inventory supply rather than do this in-house, to free up their own time to grow their businesses through 2010 and beyond.
